Amid the hopelessness and despair of a concrete city torn by poverty and violence, a rose has sprung. That rose is Endure. An inspirational performing arts troupe, it provides each year a safe-haven for hundreds of Chicago-area youths—many of them at-risk—and teaches them the power of self-expression through the art of dance. Endure breathes life, empowerment, passion and purpose to its young charges. Stirring, stunning and even breathtaking are their performances.
In an effort to address the growing problems among our community and youth our organization has been developed to alleviate the lack of arts representation by providing an outlet for youth and young adults in the performing arts. The organization teaches, coaches, mentors and prepares 100 - 150 dancers to share their gifts at the professional level free of charge. Endure Productions depends on the sponsorship of various companies to assist in the continuance of programming.
In a one-of-a-kind dance competition, religious leaders from across Chicago-land face off for the annual “Dancing With The Pastors Benefit”. Spiritual leaders are paired with ENDURE’s professional dance instructors over several weeks to learn a variety of ballroom dance styles for the big show. Performances will include the Holy Ghost Quick Step, Faith Fox Trot, Santo(Holy) Salsa, Worship Waltz And The Tango Of Warfare.
Endure Productions and over one million teens will band together to take the Endure pledge, “No Violence, No Bullying”.
Our Original Theatrical Stage Production “The Misfits” focuses on the unfortunate increase of teen crimes of violence and bullying throughout the city of Chicago. The dancers are hopeful that this show will continue to create a positive outlook for fellow peers during the upcoming school years. Nonetheless, this event is motivational, inspirational, and life changing.
